Stable fire – Alton

Crews were alerted to a fire in a stable at the back of The Hen and Chicken Inn in Alton at 05:00.Pumps from Rushmoor, Emsworth and two from Alton tackled the outbuilding fire.The roof of the building has been 100% damaged by fire. Three hose reels, four jets and the aerial ladder platform were used to bring the fire under control. The aerial ladder platform will remain at the scene for up to an hour to dampen down the scene.No one was hurt and the cause of the fire is unknown and will be investigated. The stop came in at 07:16.
