Several vehicles were destroyed in a fire in Fleet
Crews were alerted shortly after 8pm on Saturday to the blaze which broke out in a compound on London Road, Blackwater.
Further fire engines including water carriers were sent after initial crews spotted a large smoke plume prior to arriving.
Firefighters from Fleet, Rushmoor, Odiham, Eastleigh and Basingstoke arrived before using hose reels and jets to stop the blaze from the spreading.
Seven cars, including a number of electric vehicles, were destroyed in the fire, with a further three vehicles suffering partial damage, whilst another three were impacted by the heat.
The lithium-ion batteries in the electric vehicles were monitored and cooled before the incident was handed back to the onsite team.
Fortunately no one was harmed during the incident, with HIWFRS leaving the scene and returning to station following the stop message at 22:45.
