RTC into a building – Winchester

Three pumps from Winchester, Eastleigh and Redbridge along with Basingstoke’s aerial ladder platform were called to Southgate Street in Winchester today (Wednesday 23 November 2016) after a car crashed into an office building.The car had bridged a gap between a ground floor car park and ground floor office block, over the basement. Firefighters stabilised the car and rescued the male driver who was trapped before handing him over to the care of the South Central Ambulance Service. The driver was not seriously injured.The stop message was received at 13:39.
