Four crews from St Mary’s, Hightown and Redbridge rescued a man from a chip pan fire in a fourth floor flat. Four BA sets, a hose reel and an Ultra-High Pressure Lance (UHPL) were used along with jets and tactical ventilation.The elderly man was treated for smoke inhalation and taken to hospital by South Central Ambulance Service. The stop message was at 21.59.
