Plant room fire hits Basingstoke business

A fire alarm was activated at an electrical firm on Ashwood Park in Basingstoke. Smoke was seen coming from the plant room and crews from Basingstoke, Overton, Tadley and Winchester attended to find a small fire in an electrical panel. The electricity supply was isolated and the fire was dealt with using a dry powder extinguisher. No-one was injured. Crews ventilated the building before handing back over to the site manager. The stop message was received at 12.40pm.
