Passengers evacuated as bus catches fire on Portsmouth hill
A fire in the engine of a bus caused the evacuation of its passengers on Portsdown Hill Road, Portsmouth. The double decker burst into flames just after 9.21am on Portsdown Hill Road and everyone was taken off the vehicle. Firefighters in breathing apparatus used hoses to extinguish the fire in the engine compartment and a fan was also used to move smoke.No-one was hurt and the incident was concluded by 9.56am.
