New Forest cottage ready to be demolished destroyed by fire

An old New Forest cottage, already in the process of being demolished, was destroyed after fire spread to the building. Builders had been working on the site of the property in Bransgore when they noticed the thatched roof had caught light. Around 40 firefighters from Hampshire and Dorset used hoses and jets to extinguish the blaze, which engulfed the whole building. No-one was injured in the incident. The stop message was sent at 4.57pm and the cause of the fire is believed to have been accidental.
