Man treated following Chandler’s Ford flat fire
A man was treated for smoke inhalation after fire broke out on the first floor of a block of flats in Chandler’s Ford. The man escaped the building on Bodycoats Road before firefighters arrived and was thankfully he was not seriously injured. The fire started in the lounge of a flat on the first floor and crews from Eastleigh, Service Headquarters and St Mary’s used hose reels and jets to extinguish the flames. The cause of the fire is not yet known and the stop message came in at 4.22pm.
