Large animal rescue – Curbridge

One crew from Hightown, one from Brockenhurst and the animal rescue adviser from Lyndhurst were called this morning to a horse stuck in a water-filled ditch on Botley Road, Curbridge.On arrival crews found Collage the horse submerged with only his head above water. With the assistance of a vet, Collage was sedated and then lifted from the ditch using a support harness and tractor and is now recovering safe and sound on dry land.The stop message was received at 12:16.You can find a picture of the rescue on Brockenhurst’s Twitter account at www.twitter.com/Brockenhurst50.
