Hotel fire – Christchurch
We were called to a fire at 00:07 at the Chewton Glen Hotel after reports of a fire in the housekeeping quarters. On arrival the fire was located in the laundry room. We used 24 sets of breathing apparatus and 2 hose reels to tackle the fire. Our attendance was 2 pumps from New Milton, 2 from Lymington and one from Redbridge. Also to support we had our response support vehicle from Redbridge, environment protection support from Romsey, a co-responder from Ringwood, command support from Beaulieu and Eastleigh and our incident command support unit from Headquarters. All residents and staff were accounted for. The contents of the laundry room is 100% damaged by fire, the stop came in at 02:55. An investigation into the cause of the fire will take place.
