High-rise – Gunwharf

Six crews from across the county attended a seventh floor high-rise fire in Gunwharf. Fire involved iron and ironing board. Specialist vehicles also attended including an Aerial Ladder Platform from Southsea. The fire was put out at 14:41. Stop message was 14:49. Two sets of breathing apparatus were used as well as one jet and tactical ventilation. Fire doors contained the blaze and we were called but a vigilant neighbour who heard the smoke alarm. Crews attended from Southsea, Cosham, Havant and Fareham with support vehicles from Southsea, Portchester and HFRS headquarters in Eastleigh. Thankfully everyone is safe.
