Five engines from St Mary’s, Hightown and Redbridge and an aerial ladder platform attended a fire in a 17-storey block of student accommodation.The fire broke out in the third floor common room.Firefighters used six sets of breathing apparatus, a jet and tactical ventilation to tackle the blaze. The stop message was at 04.35. An investigation is underway.
