Hazmat – Farnborough

A member of staff from the Village Hotel in Farnborough called 999 after discovering the chlorine alarm activating in the plant room of the swimming pool. 123 people were evacuated from the hotel as a precaution while crews in gas tight suits investigated. A small chlorine leak from a pipe was discovered and the crews were able to isolate the leak and ventilate the room. An engineer was called to repair the leak. No-one was injured and the incident was dealt with just before 9am.
