Firefighters tackle Lee-on-the-Solent high street shop fire

Firefighters from across Hampshire were called to a fire in the high street of Lee-on-the-Solent in a building used as a shop and flats.Crews from Gosport, Fareham, Southsea, Portchester and Cosham tackled the fire in the roof space of the three-storey building in the early hours. Further crews from across the county arrived to relieve the firefighters who were first on the scene and had been working throughout the night.The roof of the three-storey building has been 100% destroyed with the rest of the building suffering 50% damage by the fire.The Aerial Ladder Platform was used for access at the incident with the stop message coming in at 13:22.
