Firefighters tackle large Hazeley Heath fire.

The fire involved twelve hectares of woodland and gorse. We were called at 17:27 on the 23rd May. There were fifty firefighters in attendance at the height of the fire from across Hampshire, Royal Berkshire and Surrey Fire and Rescue Service. Ten pumps, twenty litres of CAFS (Compressed Air Foam Solution), two Land Rovers, six jets, multiple knapsack pumps and beaters were used to tackle the blaze. Two pumps remained overnight to watch the area. The stop message was received at 7:14am on the 24th May.
