Firefighters rescue 90-year-old occupant from kitchen blaze

Andover firefighters performed a time critical rescue to save a 90-year-old female from a kitchen fire in Broughton.A careline company alerted Fire Control to an alarm sounding at a property on Horsebridge Road at 13:19. Once rescued, crews administered Immediate Emergency Care to the resident who was conscious and breathing, before she was treated by SCAS.Crews extinguished the fire using two sets of breathing apparatus and one hose reel before the stop message came in at 14:02.
