Fire – Ringwood

Fire Control recieved an initial call to a rubbish bin on fire at the rear of a row of shops in Ringwood town centre. On arrival, crews discovered the fire had spread into the roof space of the building and eight fire engines were called from across Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire. The fire spread across the roof space of six shop units and around 50 firefighters used water and foam jets, as well as the aerial ladder platform, to contain the fire and prevent any further spread. The roof space of the units was destroyed by the fire but thankfully no-one was injured in the incident. Crews remained on the scene damping down until the stop message at 11.27.
