Fire crews take in dog when owners involved in RTC

A fire crew from Fareham brought a dog back to their station last night following a road traffic collision which saw the pet’s owners taken to hospital. Fareham attended the collision with crews from Cosham involving six vehicles between junction 11 and 12 of the M27 eastbound. Two casualties and the dog were extricated from the vehicles by HFRS with a total of nine casualties treated by the crews and SCAS. The Fareham crews looked after the dog as they waited for it to be collected. The eastbound carriageway had to be closed as crews worked on the highway before the stop message came in at 21:18.
