Crews were called to reports of smoke and flames coming from the top floor of a disused office block close to Basingstoke train station. Firefighters in breathing apparatus entered the building to tackle the flames, while the aerial ladder platform also fought the fire from outside the block. A full search of the building was carried out and no-one was found to be inside. More than 30 firefighters from Basingstoke, Tadley, Odiham and Kingsclere dealt with the fire.
