Around 18 firefighters dealt with a fire in the cab unit of a 44-tonne articulated lorry on the southbound carriageway of the A34 between Litchfield and Whitchurch. The fire also partially spread to the trailer of the vehicle, which was carrying parcels, and the crews used four sets of breathing apparatus, two jets and two hose reels to extinguish the blaze. No-one was injured and the stop message was received at 7.28am.
