Domestic fire – Portsmouth
Two Southsea pumps and two from Cosham were called to a maisonette on Watts Road, Portsmouth this afternoon (Monday 08 August 2016) after reports of a fire.On arrival crews found a fire on the external balcony of the building which had spread to the dining area through a window and cat flap. The fire was tackled using four breathing apparatus, two hose reels and one jet alongside tactical ventilation.No-one was injured in the fire, but one kitten was rescued from the living room and given oxygen therapy for smoke inhalation before making a full recovery.The stop message was received at 15:27.
