Domestic fire – Marchwood

Two pumps from Redbridge and Hythe were called to Africa Drive in Marchwood this afternoon after reports of a fire in a flat.On arrival, crews found a fire in the first floor bedroom of the flat, which was 100% damaged by the blaze. Crews used one hose reel, one jet and two BA alongside positive pressure ventilation fans to tackle the incident.A 34 year-old male was treated by crews for smoke inhalation before being handed over to the care of the South Central Ambulance Service.The stop message was received at 15:23.
