Crews rescue man and his dogs from kitchen fire in Southampton
Hightown and Redbridge crews tackled a kitchen fire in a mid-terraced property on Nursery Road. A 63 year old male was rescued by crews and taken to Southampton General by South Central Ambulance Service, for minor burns and smoke inhalation.Two dogs were rescued from the property. One dog was resuscitated by crews at the scene. Both dogs are now in the care of a local vet and being treated for smoke inhalation. The property was 100% consumed by smoke and crews tackled the fire with one hose reel jet, three main jets, four breathing apparatus and positive pressure ventilation to clear the property of smoke. The stop message came in at 13:08.
