Crews extinguish electrical fire at Southampton General Hospital
Crews dealt with an electrical fire at Southampton’s main hospital this morning (November 28). Seven engines were sent to Southampton General Hospital, but the small fire was confined to an electrical cupboard in the north block.Two carbon dioxide extinguishers were used to put out the fire, with two fans used for clearing smoke.The fire was believed to have been caused by an overloaded inverter. The stop message was sent at 9.47am.
