Commercial / industrial fire – Portsmouth

Firefighters were called to a fire at the iconic Pompey Stand Up burger bar on The Hard, Portsmouth today (Friday 22 July).On arrival the three crews from Southsea found a fire involving a deep fat fryer with around 30% of the building damaged by the flames and further smoke damage to the rest of the property. Crews tackled the blaze using two breathing apparatus, a hose reel, three jets and positive pressure ventilation fans.No one was injured in the fire and the stop message was received at 16:03.
