Commercial / industrial fire – Overton

Two pumps from Basingstoke and one from Kingsclere were called to Overton Mill on Papermill Lane Overton this evening (Thursday 08 September) after reports of a fire.On arrival crews found a fire involving two ISO containers used as contractors portacabins adjacent to the paper mill. Using eight breathing apparatus, two hose reels and two jets the firefighters extinguished the blaze and prevented the spread of the fire to the mill.The ISO containers were 100% damaged by fire, but no injuries were reported. The stop message was received at 22:00.
