Commercial / industrial fire – Micheldever

Four pumps (three from Basingstoke and one from Whitchurch) were called to a grain processing facility today (Wednesday 10 August) after reports of a fire.On arrival crews found a fire in the dust handling unit of a five-storey grain store and used 12 breathing apparatus, two jets and two hose reels to extinguish the fire. Crews then dismantled surrounding equipment to check fire hadn’t spread beyond the initial location before handing the site back to its owners.No-one was harmed in the fire, and the stop message was received at 15:28.
