Commercial fire – Chineham

Three pumps, from Basingstoke, Hartley Wintney and Tadley were called to Iceland in the Chineham Shopping Centre this morning (Wednesday 05 October).The crews tackled a small fire in a freezer unit using two breathing apparatus, two hose reels and a jet as well as positive pressure ventilation fans to clear the smoke.No one was injured in the fire, and the quick response by firefighters meant that damage was contained to the freezer unit. The stop message was received at 12:13.
