Chandler?s Ford house damaged after fire starts in log pile

A house in Chandler?s Ford was damaged after a fire spread from a log pile. Crews from Eastleigh, St Mary?s, Hightown, Winchester and Redbridge were called to Thornbury Wood just after 12.10pm. More than 20 firefighters used a high-pressure lance, as well as hoses and jets, to tackle the flames. No-one was hurt in the incident. The fire had started in a log pile behind the house?s garage. It spread to the garage and then also into the roof space of the bedroom above it.
