A large fire in the open has destroyed sheds, fences and scrub.The blaze broke out at 12:33 in Hillside Avenue, Bitterne Park, and caused a huge smoke plume.Three engines from St Mary’s and Hightown attended with a specialist vehicle from Eastleigh.Four jets, two hose reels and two sets of breathing apparatus were used.The stop message was at 14:46.
