Children aged 5-12 years across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight are invited to take part in our Easter Colouring Competition.
The aim of the competition is to educate our younger community on the importance of looking after the countryside and keeping it free from fires.
Terms and conditions
- The colouring competition is open to children living in Hampshire and Isle of Wight aged between 5 and 12 years old.
- To enter the competition, children should colour in the Easter basket design available here
- Entries must be sent to colouring@hantsfire.gov.uk , or by post to Media and Communications, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters, Leigh Road, Eastleigh, Hampshire, SO50 9SJ or alternatively you can send it by direct message via HIWFRS social media accounts.
- You are responsible for any cost incurred in sending your competition entry to us.
- All entries must include the entrant’s full name, age, address and the name and contact telephone number of your parent or guardian. We will only use this information in relation to the competition (including checking your eligibility to enter and informing the winner) and will not use it for any other purposes. We will not keep this information for longer than is necessary for the operation of the competition.
- All entries must be submitted by a parent or guardian on behalf of their child.
- You may submit as many entries as you like.
- We must receive your entry by no later than 5pm on Monday 15 April 2024. Submissions received after the deadline will not be eligible for entry.
- Employees of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service or their family members may not enter the Competition.
Picking the winner
- There will be one winner, chosen by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service.
- The decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The winner and a selection of other entries may be shared by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service, via social media channels.
Publishing the entries
- The name of the winner will be published on the HIWFRS social media channels.
- By submitting an entry to the competition, entrants and their parents or guardians give HIWFRS the right to use your name, age and town or city of residence for the sole purpose of identifying you as the author of your entry.
- By submitting an entry to the competition, the winner and their parent or guardian agree to take part in media and PR activity for HIWFRS for the purposes of publicising the competition. This includes but is not limited to press releases and photography.
The Prize
- The winner will receive an Easter hamper from The Works.
- The parents or guardians of the winner with be contact via direct message or email on or before Monday 15 April 2024.
- The prize will be presented to winner during a photo opportunity at the entries’ local fire station.
- The prize will be presented to the winner and their parent or guardian at a photo opportunity, the date/time/exact location of which will be arranged insofar as possible so that it is mutually convenient for all parties.
- The prize cannot be exchanged or transferred and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other prizes.
- We will substitute the prize with another prize of similar value if the original prize offered is not available.
- The prize must be collected in person.
