Fire Station was established in 1938. 1st Firefighters were Bill Moon, Walter Moon and Sid Phillips using an old Dust Cart.

Major Incidents include: Uppark house on 30 August 1989, 25 pumps plus Special Equipment Units were involved. Finchdean Floods on 1 February 1994 where every Station in Hampshire were involved over a 3 week period, 4 Green Goddesses from the Home Office were also used for 2 weeks continuous pumping.

  1. Recent incidentBungalow blaze tackled by Eastleigh firefighters 08/12/2019More than thirty firefighters were called to a bungalow fire on Leigh Road in Eastleigh. Crews from Eastleigh, Winchester, St Mary’s and Redbridge alongside support vehicles from other stations including the Aerial Ladder Platform, were called just before 5pm. Three casualties were taken to hospital by South Central Ambulance Service as Hampshire Police closed the road due to the number of emergency vehicles in attendance. Recent incidentHundreds of old film reels lost in fire02/12/2019A fire in an outbuilding was well alight when crews from St Mary’s, Redbridge, Hightown, Eastleigh, and Hythe arrived at the scene. The outbuilding contained hundreds of highly flammable cine nitrate film. Twelve breathing apparatus’, one main jet, one hose reel jet, compressed air foam solution, and one ultra high pressure lance have been used so far to tackle the fire.
