  • 1690 - the first manual fire engine at Alresford was kept in the tower of the Church
  • 1858 - a Horse drawn Fire Engine was purchased with 160ft of hose for £135.00 and was stored at the Swan Hotel
  • 1879 - Alresford Volunteer Fire Brigade was formed and it was headed by Captain Marx
  • 1881 - Town Trust built a fire station in Broad Street, this was in use until 1940 when the existing station was opened, and is still use today

  1. Recent incidentCoach fire near Liphook put out by firefighters06/09/2018Four engines were called to attend a coach fire on a busy Hampshire A road. The crews included firefighters from Liphook, Grayshott, Surrey Fire and Rescue Service and a water carrier from Bordon. Four hose reel jets, two main jets and eight sets of breathing apparatus were used. Heavy traffic delays were caused by the incident on the A3 between Grayshott and Liphook. The stop message was at 17:48.
