The Community Contact Point is crewed by firefighters that may need to respond to emergency incidents within 1 hour of any call. If this happens, they will return to the event as soon as they can.
Our Community Contact Point (CCP) vehicle provides a mobile location to deliver vital home safety information to communities across the county.
Originally Portsmouth-based, the vehicle's updated look means it is suitable for use across Hampshire. Supported by Hampshire Constabulary and shared with our partners, it will help to deliver community-related initiatives in order to make Hampshire safer.
The Community Contact Point is a purpose-built partnership and multi agency resource which can be taken into the heart of the community, in an effort to improve community safety.
Supported by our Community Safety Department and local firefighters we will be able to meet members of local communities and address areas of developing risks.
The use of this community asset is free of charge and can be shared with you to help deal with local problems, as well as being used for initiatives that work towards making Hampshire safer.
The vehicle is crewed and delivered by two members of Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service and its design allows for a lift-up flap side with detachable awning sides and front. The Community Contact Point comes complete with all of the facilities listed below:
