Holiday Accommodation Fire Safety Checks

Whilst you are on holiday it is easy to forget the importance of safety, but a few simple precautions could save your life, particularly if you are in high rise accommodation:

Read the Fire Instructions in your room.
Walk the fire escape route and check that the path is not blocked, or exits locked.
Check where the fire extinguishers are.
Check that all windows and doors open properly in your room.
Check that electrical sockets are not overloaded.
Switch off electrical appliances when not in use.
Never assume that a fire alarm is false, always take action when a fire alarm sounds.
