We are committed to 'Making Hampshire Safer' and to achieve this we will provide Home Fire Safety Visits where the need is greatest. Visits include:

  • A visit to your home;
  • A discussion on safety issues;
  • Help in formulating a home escape plan;
  • Help with a risk assessment of your home;
  • The fitting of ten year smoke detectors (with owners' consent) where required.

Home Fire Safety Visits

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS) can provide a free home fire safety visit where there is an identified need. If you are in one of our target groups we will come to your home, fit smoke detection and provide fire safety advice. If you are not in one of our target groups we will invite you to a programmed presentation which will contain the latest fire safety advice and provide you with guidance to undertake a risk assessment of your home and a free ten year smoke detector.

We will use your information to target our home fire safety visits to those who are at highest risk from fire. However, if you are not in a target group, please still complete the form, we will then invite you to one of our free home fire safety presentations at a location near you or alternatively send you the latest home fire safety pack.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service will only use your information for the purposes of undertaking home fire safety visits and providing safety education. It will only be disclosed to other parties to assist in this purpose. All data will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
