Environmental standards

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS) requires its staff and suppliers to be committed to minimising any adverse impact arising from their actions on the environment.

The Procurement Department shall demonstrate to the satisfaction of HFRS a safe and responsible attitude to the handling and disposal of waste substances arising out of the provision of the services they provide.

HFRS through its procurement processes and procedures shall follow all Government guidelines on sustainable procurement and consider the environment as part of any evaluation or procurement process, as far as this is reasonably practical for the commodity or service required.
