Trench Rescue Workshop - Trench rescue techniques – UK and overseas, Case studies – real incidents, training systems – does training match reality, national standards, best practice and legislation. Practical demonstrations on real trenches, equipment options, different techniques, national Fire Service College and local instructors.
Hot Cutting Masterclass - Advanced hot cutting techniques using Petrogen and Clucas. Cutting structures under load, plate cutting, equipment maintenance. Training and demonstrations delivered by the National Technical leads, demolition experts and manufacturers.
Advanced USAR Shoring Workshop - Practical shoring, case studies of real incidents and the techniques needed, shore testing, equipment options and scenario challenges. Delivered by national shoring Technical Leads, international experts, manufacturers, engineers and Fire Service College instructors.
CBRN Operations Seminar - A seminar discussing fire and rescue service operations at CBRN incidents; Integrating the DIM capability, what PPE is available, limitations, Police priorities and inter-agency working. Input is planned from National CBRN Centre, Police and others. Demonstrations of possible solutions.
Managers Overview Programme - A programme for up to 12 delegates to visit and observe the above strands: Hot Cutting Masterclass, USAR Shoring Workshop, CBRN Operations Seminar. There is also a national Rope Rescue meeting taking place which will be carrying out some practical demonstrations.
