Gosport and Fareham Inshore Rescue Service (GAFIRS)

The Gosport and Fareham Inshore Rescue team work in partnership with HFRS to take firefighters to deal with incidents affecting smaller boats and pleasure craft in the coastal areas within the Solent and tidal estuaries. This Partnership provides good coverage of the Eastern Solent and Southampton Water. Further developments of the scheme will provide cover for similar incidents in the Western Solent and other coastal waters off Hampshire.
