Past Members Association

A new Past Members Association has been formed with membership open to anyone who has served within the Hampshire Fire Service, Southampton Fire Brigade, Portsmouth Fire Brigade, Hampshire Fire Brigade or Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service. This new Association is available to anyone who served in whatever capacity - wholetime operational, retained or any of the support ('Green Book') roles. To qualify for membership a person must have:

Retired from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service or its historical constitutional brigades
Retired from another Fire and Rescue Service having served in Hampshire
Resigned from Hampshire having served at least 10 years
Associate membership may also be offered to any previous member of a local authority fire and rescue service who has retired to live in Hampshire

'Retirement' for the purposes of membership qualification will include those who, under the new pension rules, have 'retired' and who are then re-engaged.

The Association has its own dedicated magazine 'stop message', website and provides a platform for a variety of social events.

For those who wish to participate there is also be a directory of members and, as far as is practicable, a notification system for events/funerals, etc.
