Hantsfire is maintained for your personal use and viewing. Access and use by you of this site constitutes acceptance by you of these terms and conditions that take effect from the date of first use.
The names, images and logos identifying the Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS), are proprietary marks of HFRS. Copying of our logos and/or any other third party logos accessed via this website is not permitted without prior approval from the relevant copyright owner.
Requests for permission to use our logo should be directed to The Web Development Team, telephone 023 8064 4000 Ext 3652 or email: hfrs.web.team@hantsfire.gov.uk. Tell us how and why you wish to use our logo(s). Please include your contact details, name, address, telephone number and email.
You do not have to ask permission to link directly to pages hosted on this site. We do not object to you linking directly to the information that is hosted on our site. However, we do not permit our pages to be loaded into frames on your site. The Hantsfire pages must load into the user's entire window.
It is our policy to obtain permission to link to other websites. We are not responsible for the content or reliability of the linked websites. Listing should not be taken as endorsement of any kind. We cannot guarantee that these links will work all of the time and we have no control over the availability of linked pages.
Hantsfire is not responsible for the contents or reliability of the linked websites and does not necessarily endorse the views expressed within them. Listing should not be taken as endorsement of any kind. We cannot guarantee that these links will work all of the time and we have no control over the availability of the linked pages.
The following lists groups of companies and organisations which we would allow to have links on our web site. All reasonable requests would be considered, however, any link would be subject to a check on potential public interest and a reasonable quality standard:
Government-sponsored sites, especially relating to public safety and joined-up government working (eg The Department for Communities and Local Government (formerly ODPM) ‘Protect Yourself and your Home' – currently linked as Community Fire Safety and Prevention, firekills.gov.uk, Home Office, Cabinet Office, the Information Commissioner, speedkills.gov.uk and direct.gov.uk);
Local partnership organisations in the public sector (for the duration of our partnership arrangement with them), including Hampshire Constabulary, Hampshire County Council, Hampshire Ambulance and the Primary Health Care Trusts;
Community liaison groups and other organisations in the voluntary sector with whom we are associated (eg Help the Aged, the Red Cross);
Professional trade associations in the fire safety business (eg the Fire Protection Association, the Arson Prevention Bureau and the Fire Sprinkler Association);
Charitable organisations concerned with public safety (eg the Children’s Fire and Burn Trust);
Commercial companies with whom we have a sponsorship arrangement (eg provision of smoke detectors), for the duration of the sponsorship, and where this is part of the agreement;
Local councils
CFOA, other Fire and Rescue Services in the UK and any future Fire Service national portal;
Recognised Trade Unions associated with Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service;
The Firefighters' Memorial Charitable Trust
The Fire Fighters Charity
The Hantsfire website is used to promote corporate information and in order that this remains its key focus, it is our policy not to promote other organisations, charitable or commercial, by way of providing the organisation with an advertisement, using its logo or providing a hyperlink to its website from Hantsfire, unless Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS) is working in partnership with the said organisation.
Details of specific fundraising activities being undertaken by HFRS in conjunction with a third party, should be forwarded to the HFRS Marketing and Communications Department who will determine how best the event may be publicised.
We make every effort to check and test material at all stages of production. It is always wise for you to run an anti-virus program on all material downloaded from the internet. We cannot accept any responsibility for any loss, disruption or damage to your data or your computer system which may occur whilst using material derived from Hantsfire.
Pop-ups are generally associated with advertising and can debase trust in a website. There are also other issues surrounding the use of pop-ups such as: if the visitor's browser does not support javascript the pop-up will not work; search engines cannot follow links to pop-up windows and, more importantly, pop-ups present accessibility problems. For these reasons pop-ups are not used on the Hantsfire site.
