Your personal information and the Data Protection Act 1998

The Data Protection Act was introduced in 1998. The Act protects the individual’s data by setting rules and conditions, which all users of personal information, including Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS), must obey when obtaining, and using information. We require your consent if we are going to process data about you for purposes other than those you are required to provide by law.

Information held could relate to your address; payroll information; emergency contacts; employment history, records and communications; training and development records; records of sickness and other absences, health, safety and welfare; and other copies of correspondence with the Service.
