Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service Plan 2012 to 2015
Group areas
Rushmoor and Hart
- The Rushmoor and Hart group is in North East Hampshire. It covers an area of 108 square miles and has a population of approximately 184,630 people.
- The group includes urban and rural areas, and the main risks include the major road network which runs through the area, Farnborough Airport, and both the west country and south coast rail lines.
- We have developed effective partnerships with Hampshire County Council, helping to increase the number of fixed fire-protection installations, such as sprinkler systems. We have worked closely with local road-safety teams to reduce the number of deaths and serious injuries and created strong links with both local authorities and their community safety partnerships. We have good partnerships with our local youth trust organisations and use these to good effect to reduce incidents of anti-social behaviour and arson.
- Please note: incident figures shown for each group are the highest risks, not the total attended annually.
