The Service
Regional Management Board
As set out in the White Paper 'Our Fire and Rescue Service', the Government is committed to a regional approach where it considers that it would offer the most appropriate level of organisation and management of local services to the public. The Government required constituent fire and rescue authorities - in each of the Government Regions of the country - to set up, from 1 April 2004, Regional Management Boards (RMBs) for the strategic co-ordination and management of fire and rescue services.
Constituent fire and rescue authorities in South East England therefore established a RMB formally known as: "The South East Fire and Rescue Services Regional Management Board". This board has established the South East Fire Improvement Partnership, the partnership has its own website where you will be able to find all the information you need about how all fire and rescue services are collaborating on key issues across the south east. You will also find links to other improvement partnerships in the South East, and be able to find out what is going on in your local area in terms of improvement activities. On this site you will also be able to find all agendas, papers and minutes for meetings of the South East Fire and Rescue Services' Regional Management Board (RMB).
