Supporting the delivery functions
Ensures that the skills, ability and potential of all staff are recognised and developed in accordance with the Integrated Personal Development System (IPDS).
Communicates with Group Liaison Officers to fulfil the training needs of the Group structure, supported by Instructors and administrators located in Basingstoke, Portsmouth and Southampton who provide local training needs.

The Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare department (OSHW) create and maintain a safe and healthy working environment and:
Provision of mechanisms to ensure delivery of the operations function is maintained.
Geographical support bases at Basingstoke, Portsmouth and Southampton supply and recover fire engines and equipment, under the direction of Station Officer Resources.
Station Officer Risk advises personnel about road network changes, major events and updated premises operational plans.
Administrative support for all Group offices and wholetime fire stations
Supports supervisory officers in their role of managing operational staff in the delivery of community safety, operations and training to provide continuous improvements in delivery of our front line services
Group Managers communicate with local staff and function managers to ensure everyone is familiar with existing and new policies
share information, provide evidence of good practice to determine how we can improve delivery of our services across Hampshire.
