Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service has been accredited with the ‘two tick’ Disability Symbol which recognises our commitment to good practice in employing people with disabilities.

The Child Safety Education Coalition (CSEC) purpose is to encourage, promote and support activities which contribute to a reduction in unintended injuries to children and young people from 0-18 years of age. CSEC is hosted by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) on behalf of the Department for Children Schools and Families (DCSF). It brings together a wide range of providers of safety education with the aim of encouraging new and high quality provision of practical safety education; co-ordinate new and existing provision of practical safety education; and encourage take up of this provision in England, so that more children and young people have access.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service has further demonstrated its commitment to increasing awareness of mental health and providing support for staff and potential staff by signing up to the Charter for Employers who are Positive About Mental Health. Led and supported by employers, the MINDFUL EMPLOYER initiative is aimed at increasing awareness of mental health at work and providing support for businesses in recruiting and retaining staff.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service is committed to clear communications and has corporate membership of the Plain English Campaign.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service Information Services (IS) Department gained the BSI ISO 27001 accreditation on the 9th September 2008 with a certification period of 3 years. The ISO 27001 is the only internationally recognised standard which defines the requirements for an Information Security Management System.
This has now been under review and after a thorough audit we successfully passed the renewell of our ISO 27001 accreditation on the 17th October 2011. This will now certify our accreditation for a further period of 3 years.
