Specialist equipment is available to deal with a vast array of incidents, however small or large. Three animal rescue teams are strategically placed around the county, co-ordinated and trained by Fire Service Rural Safety Officers and backed up by firefighters from the fire station nearest to the incident. A multi-role vehicle (MRV) is the primary rescue resource and is equipped with 4 wheel drive, hiab crane and winches.

The equipment that is available on the MRV to assist with animal rescue is carried as part of the Incident Support Load and consists of the following: -
As the animal rescue team develops, new equipment and training aids are added to the inventory to increase our flexibility and skills.
