James Shears and Alan Bannon
The tragic loss of two firefighters at Shirley Towers in April 2010 was an incredibly difficult and sad time for everyone in Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service and the wider community
Firefighter Shears and Firefighter Bannon are sadly missed and have left an enormous hole in the Service. The tragedy was not only a devastating loss to our Service, but a loss to the fire service community as a whole.
On behalf of Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service, I would like to thank the multitude of people who sent sincere messages of condolence and support, which were passed on to the family and colleagues James Shears and Alan Bannon.
