Quality assurance

Quality assurance

  • After data input, the incident will need to go through a quality assurance process by the line manager.
  • Fire and rescue service staff use the IRS system to perform their quality assurance and will then set the incident status to ‘published’ – this is equivalent to sending the form to Community for Local Government (CLG).
  • The e-form is not sent anywhere and is always held at the CLG from creation to completion, the form goes through a lifecycle status process from 'recorded' to 'published'.
  • Authorised fire and rescue service staff will be able to print standard reports and retrieve copies of the incident data for use in other systems.
  • Fire and rescue service administrative staff based at Service Headquarters will need to create and manage the users on the IRS system.
