Incident Recording System : Frequently Asked Questions - Form, Section 1
All bar one question is pre-populated on this page. If the incident occurred on your station ground then the only question that you will need to complete is Q1.4 for your Fire Personnel ID.
Hopefully, this would rarely happen as this is one of the pre-populated areas from the Command and Control system (CNC).
However, in times of control fallback (when the main system has gone down) you may need to enter the incident number from the turnout sheet.
It is therefore, very important to keep the entry in the same format. Please enter the incident number in the following way, YY-NNNNN. Do not leave spaces or add any different characters.
The IRS will always show the station ground where the incident occurred.
Please do not change this as this is needed for statistical reporting. The only difference is that, if you attended the call on someone else’s ground, you will not be able to select your ID from the list
The station identifier will be blank, therefore you will need to select your station name (and then enter your fire personnel id in Q1.4) and select ‘yes’ in Q1.5.
Please then select, from the drop down list, the actual FRS where the incident occurred (Q1.6) and, if you have it, enter the OTB FRS incident number in Q1.7.
